CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA OCR 2024 is an obstacle course (OCR) organised by the AYUNTAMIENTO DE LA VICTORIA DE ACENTEJO, in collaboration with OCRA ESPAÑA, Club Deportivo Deporvic and the Liga OCR Canaria.

Article 1.- DATE AND PLACE

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA will take place on Sunday 7 July 2024. In the municipality of La Victoria de Acentejo, starting in the Barrio de Los Arroyos and finishing in the Parque El Pinar.

Article 2.- PARTICIPATION AND MINIMUM AGE

Any person over 18 years of age, completed at the time of running the race, may participate.

Minors over 15 years of age may participate in CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA 2024 as long as they present the authorisation completed by their father, mother or guardian (presenting both the ID card) on the day of collecting the bib number.

Article 3.- RACE DEPARTURES

Arrival at Los Arroyos (Start):

Due to the orography of La Victoria de Acentejo, Los Arroyos is the most suitable place for the start of the race, taking into account that it is a different place to the finish, the organisation will provide all runners with a bus transport service from El Pinar Park to Los Arroyos.

8.00 H. Numbers 1 to 180

8.30 H. Bib numbers 171 to 360

9.00 H. Numbers 361 to 540

9.30 H. Numbers 541 to 720

10.15 a.m. Numbers 721 to 900

10.30 H. Numbers 901 to 1080

10.45 a.m. Numbers 1081 to 1260

11.00 H. Bib numbers 1261 to 1500

Participants must be at the start area at least ten minutes before the start of their heat in order to pass the chip control and close the call chamber. The corresponding calls for the formation of the start of the corresponding batches will be made over the public address system.

A runner will start at the end of the race with a maximum time of 3 hours from the last start.

The starts shall be made in batches. The Elite category of the LA CONQUISTA 10K will start at 08:00 hours. This will be followed by the rest of the heats in 20-minute intervals.

For access to the starting chamber it will be compulsory to wear the wristband that will identify each heat with a colour, this element will be found in the runner’s bag.

Article 4.- CATEGORIES, PRICES and COMMEMORATIVE PRICE. 

CONQUEST THE VICTORY ELITE: Race with a route of approximately 10 km. and a minimum of 40 obstacles. The participant in this category will be penalised with a change of category to General if he/she is not able to overcome all the penalisable obstacles. The help of other participants to overcome the obstacles is NOT allowed.

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA 10K:Race with a route of approximately 10 km and a minimum of 40 obstacles. Help from other participants is allowed to overcome the obstacles.

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA 5K: : Race with a route of approximately 5 km. and a minimum of 25 Obstacles. Help from other participants is allowed to overcome the obstacles.

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA 5K: 35€

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA 10K: 45 €

CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA ELITE: 45€

Under no circumstances will the fee be refunded, whether you withdraw in advance or do not show up for the event. If you are allowed to transfer your bib number to another person until 12 June, this can be done via the registration platform with your participant ID.

Article 5.- REGISTRATION DEADLINES

The registration period will be from 25 March to 2 June 2024 at 20h, or until the number of places available is completed, at which point a reserve list will be opened.

Outside the defined period, NO registrations will be processed.

A registration will be considered formalised when the registration fee has been paid via the Web with the virtual TPV.

Article 6.- IDENTIFICATION

To collect the necessary material to participate in the race, it is essential to present your ID card or any other official accrediting document.

The time control chip is compulsory and must be worn by the athlete throughout the race, it must be placed at the height of the shoe or always below the knee. After finishing the race, the chip must be handed in at the checkpoint, failure to do so will result in a payment of €18 for the cost of the chip.

The runner will be identified during the race with a transfer type bib (water and mud resistant), to facilitate the work of judges, volunteers and medical staff.

Article 7.- INSURANCE

 

Each participant in CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA does so at their own risk and must be in good enough physical condition to take part in the event.

The organisation will have a Civil Liability and Accident insurance policy in accordance with current legislation.

Article 8.- JUDGES AND DISQUALIFICATION OR REMOVAL

The race judges and safety officers have the power to disqualify or withdraw a runner who does not show consistency, fitness, or any other risk to their own safety.

Failure to complete the race course correctly as planned will result in disqualification.

One obstacle may be overcome as a team, but not all of them. The judges will be in charge of communicating to the runner when it is possible and when it is not, and how to help.

There will be judges at each obstacle to ensure that the runner follows the rules, but it is up to the runner to complete them correctly. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Article 9.- GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION

Disqualification will be grounds for disqualification:

 

  1. Incorrect identification according to these rules.
  2. Starting the race before the starter’s signal or in a different heat to the one assigned.
  3. Disrupt the progress of other athletes, violating the elementary rules of respect and “Fair Play”.
  4. Entering the finish line at any other place than the place of arrival.
  5. Any other circumstance not foreseen in these regulations but which, in the opinion of the organisers, is grounds for disqualification.

Article 10.- SAFETY AND ROUTING

 

10.1 The route will be marked and signposted with beacons, lime marks, as well as volunteers at difficult crossings along the route.

10.2 Security on public roads and traffic control will be the responsibility of the security forces of the Town Hall of La Victoria de Acentejo.

10.3 The only vehicles authorised to follow the race will be those designated by the organisers and the technical delegate of the race, who will be duly accredited.

10.4 The organisers will set up refreshment areas along the route.

10.5 During the race there will be sufficient technical and medical assistance, qualified and in accordance with the regulations in force and the number of participants.

10.6 The medical services of the organisation as well as the technical officials will be authorised to withdraw any participant for medical reasons.

Article 11.- ARRIVAL

The race ends with the finish line, after passing through the control arch.

Article 12.- CATEGORIES AND TROPHIES

The categories of the CONQUISTA LA VICTORIA are established as follows:

Elite Category: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classified male and female, 18-39 years old (6 trophies) 1

Elite Category (Age groups)…: Qualifying score for OCRA National League.

5K SENIOR: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classified male and female 18 – 30 years old (6 trophies).

5K MASTER A: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 30-39 years old (6 trophies).

5K MASTER B: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 40-49 (6 trophies).

5K MASTER C: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 50 years and over (6 trophies).

5K GENERAL: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female.

10K SENIOR: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 18 – 30 years old (6 trophies).

10K MASTER A: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classified male and female 30-39 years (6 trophies).

10K MASTER B: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 40-49 (6 trophies).

10K MASTER C: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female 50 years and over (6 trophies).

10K GENERAL: 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified male and female.

The presentation of trophies will take place at the end of the race, according to the programme established by the organisers.

Trophies not collected at the prize-giving ceremony will not be awarded at a later date.

Article 13.- SUSPENSION OF THE RACE

The organisers reserve the right to change the proposed route if necessary, as well as the scheduled times.

In the event of cancellation or postponement of the event due to force majeure, be it adverse weather conditions, decision of the competent authority, etc., the amount paid for registration will not be refunded.

Article 14.- USE OF PARTICIPANT DATA

1.- Registration implies authorisation for the free use of the participant’s name and photo in the media (television or radio broadcasts and programmes) in the press or in any other type of accredited media related to the event.

2.- In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data, we inform you that participation in the event implies consent for the incorporation of the personal data provided into the automated file existing for the organisers. The purpose of this file is the treatment for the management and development of the aforementioned event.
